For freelance writers, it is difficult to find jobs, at least, it is difficult to find well paying jobs. Some jobs are location based, and most of these seem to be in the USA, and some pay a ridiculously small wage. I have actually seen jobs advertised with a pay of $1 per 500 words. I cannot believe people actually prostitute themselves off for that sort of wage. It’s terrible.
However, a few years ago, a freelancer decided to create her own blog. This blog was for freelancers like herself trying to find jobs. The blog was successful and became the Freelance Writing Gigs website that we can access today. I have found numerous jobs and great leads on this website and check it out every single week day.
It is updated every weekday morning with some great finds from all over the Internet, freeing up time for many freelancers who would be trawling through page after page of job searches themselves.
This website does not only contain freelance writing leads. It also writes articles about blogs and blogging and about interview techniques or job finding techniques. It even talks about grammar and all things that are important to freelance writers. It is a source of learning and information for all those interested in freelance writing.
It provides inspiration when motivation is hard to come by and provides me with an invaluable resource for my jobs. I recommend to all freelancers to check this website out. It can literally change your life and help you (with a lot of hard work and patience) on the road to freelancing success. Also there is a new Sharedlog site in the making, that I think will revolutionize freelance writing. If you don’t know about that, you can write about what you like and they will pay you, loads of jobs and most times if you need some ticking over writing money it is the best place.
